On Saturday morning, May 10, Ian decided he'd make his appearance - twelve days early! Mom and dad arrived at the hospital at 3:20 a.m. and at 11:54 a.m., Ian was born. He was 7 pounds even and exactly 20 inches long. He had gray eyes and lots of brown hair. This adorable hat was made for Ian by "Auntie" Allie Moen. She wanted to make sure Ian was fashion-forward (and make sure we brought home the right baby).
Ian's only birthmark - a "stork bite" on the back of his neck. We were told this would fade over the next few months.
Honorary "Auntie" Miranda was Ian's first visitor in the hospital.
