Ian had his two-month checkup today, and everything looks good. He's not having any trouble putting on weight - he's practically doubled his weight since birth. As you can see from the photo, he also had his two-month immunizations today, too. Three needles and one oral - poor little guy! He didn't like the shots at all, even thought the nurse was practiced and the shots were quick. We gave him some Tylenol afterwards and he quieted down in short order. In fact, he was asleep before we got to the car. The doc said he might be "fussy" today and tomorrow after the shots. He slept for a little over an hour when he got home, then he ate, then he fell right back to sleep. Whew, I thought, dodged a bullet that time! Alas, when he woke again after a three hour nap, he started to eat, then became practically inconsolable. After a swaddle and much swinging and shushing, he has fallen into an uneasy sleep. It breaks my heart to see him cry and not be able to help him!
