Ian was such a trooper with his first haircut. We went to Kids Hair and they really know their stuff. They have videos and suckers and someone to blow bubbles when all else fails. We used all of the above and only had a few tears. The pacifier helped too! Thank goodness for the cape; it kept Ian from getting his hands where they might get snipped! The stylist was quick enough to get around his ears even when he was looking around, trying to see what was going on.
By the time of this posting, Ian actually has had his second haircut, and that went even better than the first. No tears, just a little whining (he didn't even need a pacifier the second time), even when there were two boys around us screaming for their own cut to stop. His look really changed with the new cut and he is really our little man now.
